Buildings of a certain size and classification are required to have Fire Hydrant to supply water for the brigade to fight fires.

Australian Standards and Government Regulations stipulate these Hydrants are checked regularly to ensure maximum efficiency.

They are tested to ensure water supply at the correct pressure. The individual valves are checked every six months to ensure water supply and every 12 months a Pressure/Flow Test is conducted.

A 5 yearly service is required for an overall inspection of the Hydrant

Ensuring your electrical equipment meets the Workplace Health and Safety Regulations is very important in Australia. FCF inspect electrical items to AS3760. RCD testing or otherwise known as Safety Switch’s carry a requirement to be tested in businesses. The testing has two tests per year, the first test being a push button test, this is a simple test to ensure that the internals react in a timely manner with no delay to test facility. A yearly test can be performed in two ways, normally with an Electrician and without. An electrician with an observer (trained in switchboard rescue) can remove the switchboard cover and access all the relevant test points efficiently. As per the Australian Standards, Fire Brigade Regulations and Government Legislation all business’s in Australia must conduct Fire Evacuation Training and First Response (Fire Extinguisher) training every two years.
